We are incredibly proud to congratulate our Y11 student Nellie on an inspiring fundraising achievement
After experiencing hair loss due to alopecia in January 2024, Nellie showed remarkable courage and resilience. With support from the @littleladylocks Charity, she received her first wig, which made a huge difference during a challenging time.
Wanting to give back, Nellie set out to fundraise for the charity and has so far raised an incredible £1,500. With the help of her mum and friends through raffles, donation boxes and even handmade clocks — her efforts have been truly inspiring.
To recognise this amazing achievement, Nellie was invited to Disney on Ice in a VIP box at the AO Arena. We’re also delighted to share that Nellie’s hair is now growing back, and she continues to face everything with honesty and positivity.
Well done Nellie, an inspiration to us all ✨
Year 1E explored Goldilocks and the Three Bears as their new exemplar text and used The Three Little Pigs to support narrative writing ✏️
Through hot-seating, they asked and answered questions in role — deepening their understanding of characters and story events.
