Working for the Mosaic Learning Trust is really rewarding!
At Mosaic Learning Trust, we know that happy, supported staff help students thrive. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to value your hard work, support your wellbeing, and help you grow in your career.
Collaboration
At Mosaic Learning Trust, we deeply value collaboration as a cornerstone of our approach to school improvement. We actively foster a culture where our schools work together as a united community of professionals, sharing a wealth of experience and specialist knowledge.
Through our Communities of School Improvement, we bring together key staff to share best practice, align strategies, and support professional development. These communities play a vital role in driving improvements in teaching, leadership and student outcomes across the Trust. Our collaborative model empowers staff at all levels—subject leaders, SEND coordinators, behaviour and safeguarding leads, and senior leaders—to lead and innovate within their areas of expertise.
We also encourage cross-phase networks of middle leaders, enabling them to share ideas, resources, and successful approaches. This connected and inclusive way of working helps ensure the best outcomes for all our pupils and supports our shared vision of excellence and continuous improvement.
Learning and Development
The Trust believes that learning and development is essential to our success and will help us meet our objectives and address the challenges we face over the coming years. This is an on-going process and one which should be continuous throughout the year. There are many opportunities in the course of day-to-day work for learning and development to take place and service-specific training is provided appropriate to the needs of the job.
At the Trust, we are committed to nurturing Early Career Teachers (ECTs) through a structured and supportive induction process. Each ECT is paired with a trained mentor who provides regular one-to-one guidance, feedback, and professional development tailored to their individual needs. Mentors receive dedicated training and resources to ensure they can offer high-quality, evidence-informed support. Our approach includes participation in local Teaching School Hubs, which facilitate collaborative learning and networking opportunities for ECTs and mentors alike. These hubs provide access to additional training sessions, peer support groups, and subject-specific workshops, enhancing the induction experience. We also ensure that both ECTs and mentors have protected time within their timetables to engage fully with the induction programme, allowing for meaningful reflection and development. This comprehensive support structure aligns with the Early Career Framework and our Trust’s commitment to excellence in education.
We also have an e-learning portal, through the National College which provides employees with access to a range of on-line courses and resources at a time that suits you; designed to help you enhance your professional development and refresh your learning, with new courses being added regularly.
We want to encourage the career progression of our employees wherever possible, and we support staff who wish to move between our schools and the central teams when suitable roles arise.
Health and wellbeing
Whilst working in education can be an extremely rewarding job, the Trust understands that it also comes with challenges, and the health and wellbeing of our staff is important to us. All staff have access to an occupational health provider, employee assistance program and the Schools Advisory Wellbeing Service, which specialises in support specifically for the education sector giving staff access to 24/7 GP appointment for them and dependants, physiotherapy and counselling.
Strong Partnerships
The schools within the trust place great value on their strong partnerships with the local authority and maintain close connections with other nearby schools. The trust recognises the importance of nurturing relationships where staff, students, and parents collaborate as a community. Building these solid partnerships not only enhances students’ learning experiences but also empowers staff to teach with confidence, while fostering trust and support from parents.
