Trust Primary Development and Transition Lead

Andrea is an experienced school leader and English specialist, currently serving as Trust Primary Development and Transition Lead for Mosaic Learning Trust. With over a decade of leadership experience, and as a current Deputy Headteacher, she combines strategic insight with a deep understanding of classroom practice.

What sets Andrea apart is her continued presence “on the ground.” Still actively teaching and leading within school, she ensures her work is grounded in current classroom practice – she bridges the gap between research and what actually works in classrooms with clarity and precision.

Andrea specialises in literacy and curriculum design, including early reading, phonics, fluency and writing. She has developed fully sequenced curricula for both English and foundation subjects and has led professional development informed by the science of learning, supporting teachers to implement evidence-informed practice effectively.

A key element of her work is strengthening the link between primary and secondary education, ensuring pupils transition with secure foundations.

As an Evidence Lead in Education and Lead Writing Moderator, Andrea also supports schools to strengthen literacy and improve outcomes through practical and sustainable approaches.
