Marc Heron

Director of School Improvement

Marc is an experienced educational leader and Ofsted Inspector. He has a strong background in secondary education and school improvement. His career includes leadership roles in a range of settings, giving him a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities within education. 

In his early leadership roles, Marc’s responsibilities focused on CPD and strategies to improve classroom practice and support staff development. As Deputy Headteacher, his leadership responsibilities expanded to include curriculum development, teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance—establishing systems to support both student progress and teacher effectiveness. 

In his current role as Director of School Improvement, Marc works to monitor and enhance school performance, ensuring operations align with strategic objectives. His approach prioritises strategic planning, collaboration, and the use of evidence to inform decisions. He adapts improvement strategies to meet the specific needs of each school. 

His work as an Ofsted Inspector further reflects his understanding of educational standards and accountability, strengthening his ability to support sustained improvement.
